Senior Paraplanner – Glasgow | Hybrid | Up to £62,000 | Chartered Support

Overview

This is a Senior Paraplanner role within a well-established UK Wealth Management firm, supporting Financial Planners delivering holistic advice across pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
You’ll work on complex, high-value client cases, producing detailed suitability reports and technical research that directly shapes client outcomes.
This role also includes mentoring junior paraplanners and contributing to process improvement across the paraplanning function.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Produce detailed suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
  • Carry out technical research and analysis to support Financial Planners
  • Perform cashflow modelling and financial calculations
  • Prepare client-ready documentation that is clear, compliant and accurate
  • Support delivery of complex financial planning advice
  • Identify future planning opportunities within client cases
  • Act as a technical point of contact within the team
  • Mentor and support junior paraplanners
  • Contribute to improving processes, templates and efficiency

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Paraplanner experience within an IFA / Wealth Management firm
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
  • Experience writing high-quality suitability reports
  • Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS or equivalent)
  • Progression towards Chartered status preferred
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulation and compliance

Systems & Tools

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Xplan preferred
  • Cashflow modelling software (Voyant, Truth or similar)

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical financial planning knowledge
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Collaborative approach with ability to support and develop others
