The Opportunity

As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Wealth Planners by delivering high-quality technical research, suitability reports, and complex financial planning solutions.
You will also act as a mentor within the team, helping to develop junior paraplanners while contributing to process improvements and best practice initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis to support holistic financial advice
  • Perform cashflow modelling and financial calculations
  • Ensure all client documentation is clear, compliant, and client-centric
  • Identify future planning opportunities for clients
  • Support Wealth Planners with complex case work and technical queries
  • Mentor and coach junior paraplanners, providing guidance and oversight
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulation

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years paraplanning experience within an IFA / Wealth Management firm
  • Strong experience across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
  • Working towards Chartered Financial Planner status (desirable)
  • Experience producing complex suitability reports
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Xplan and cashflow modelling tools (desirable)
