An owner-managed Private Investment Office with a modern, advice-led model is seeking to appoint an experienced and technically proficient Financial Adviser / Wealth Manager. This hire forms part of a defined succession plan and offers the opportunity to take over a high-quality book over a 12–18 month period. This is not a cold start or sales-heavy role — rather, a transition into an already established, advice-focused portfolio with long-term relationship ownership.
The firm serves a select HNW and UHNW client base and offers holistic financial planning alongside investment advisory. Operating without vertical integration or product bias, the business functions more like a multi-family office or private office than a traditional IFA or bank. Advice is coordinated across investment, tax structuring, protection, pensions, and intergenerational wealth planning. New clients are typically introduced via long-standing professional networks, not volume-driven lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transition and manage client assets across a defined book of HNW family relationships
- Deliver comprehensive financial advice including regulated investments, pensions, estate planning, and insurance
- Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with existing clients and their families
- Collaborate with tax, legal, and investment specialists to deliver coordinated solutions
- Originate new HNW relationships via networking and introducer channels (no cold calling or purchased leads)
- Leverage internal tools such as cash flow modelling, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and digital reporting platforms
- Contribute to ongoing business evolution, client experience, and thought leadership
Candidate Profile:
- Level 4 qualified (minimum) with a track record of advising clients with £2M+ investable assets
- Minimum 2 years in a CF30 advisory role within wealth management, financial planning, or private client advisory
- Strong ethical standards, emotional intelligence, and long-term client stewardship capability
- Gravitas and communication skills to interact confidently with entrepreneurial, UHNW, and family office-type clients
- Comfortable managing a hybrid role with national travel and office presence in the South East
- Some origination capability preferred, especially in the £2M+ segment
Package & Benefits:
- £70,000–£110,000 base salary depending on experience, seniority, and qualifications
- Discretionary bonus scheme with realistic total compensation up to £150K
- Structured pathway to equity participation for high-performing advisers
- Private medical cover, pension scheme, and professional development budget
- High-quality tech stack, cash flow modelling software, and fully FCA-compliant reporting tools
- Access to a lean, non-bureaucratic partnership environment with a long-term succession route
Why This Role?
This is a high-integrity, long-term opportunity for an adviser seeking meaningful client relationships, not transactional sales. You’ll be stepping into a well-defined client bank with proven revenue and room for growth, while also developing your own networks and shaping the future of a modern private office proposition. The firm supports flexibility, professional autonomy, and will actively invest in the right individual’s growth — both professionally and commercially.
