Trainee Financial Advisor / Trainee Wealth Planner

Ideal for experienced Paraplanners ready to transition into regulated advice.

Location & Work Type

  • Cambridge (Hybrid – 2–3 days office-based)

  • Full-time, permanent

Responsibilities

Client Advice & Planning

  • Support Wealth Planners with holistic financial advice

  • Deliver advice across pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection

  • Prepare cashflow modelling using tools such as Voyant or CashCalc

  • Assist in client reviews and recommendation delivery

  • Build confidence towards Competent Adviser Status (CAS)

Development & Compliance

  • Receive mentoring from Chartered Advisers

  • Complete structured training towards full advisory responsibility

  • Maintain CPD and ensure FCA-compliant documentation

  • Uphold high ethical and regulatory standards

Requirements

Essential

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)

  • Paraplanning experience within an IFA or financial planning firm

  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and tax wrappers

  • Clear communication and client-facing confidence

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Working towards Chartered status

  • Experience with XPlan or similar back-office systems

  • Familiarity with Voyant or CashCalc

  • Exposure to complex or high-net-worth cases
