Paraplanner – High Net Worth Clients
A Role for a Chartered (or Nearly Chartered) Professional
This is an opportunity for a Chartered Paraplanner — or someone close to achieving Chartered status — to join a boutique wealth management firm working exclusively with High Net Worth individuals earning in excess of £500,000 per year.
The firm advises entrepreneurs, business owners and senior professionals whose financial affairs are complex, nuanced and deeply personal.
Salary up to £80,000
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 from home
The culture is thoughtful, collaborative and quietly ambitious. There is no volume-driven mentality. Instead, the focus is on delivering considered, technically excellent advice and building long-term relationships founded on trust.
This role is designed for a technically accomplished Paraplanner who values depth over speed, precision over process for its own sake, and meaningful client outcomes over box-ticking.
The Environment
The team is small enough for every individual to have visible influence, yet established enough to provide stability and long-term career development.
There is:
- Exposure to genuinely complex and intellectually stimulating cases
- A high level of technical discourse within the team
- Support and encouragement toward full Chartered status (if not already achieved)
- Clear progression into Senior Paraplanner or Technical Specialist roles
- A culture built on professionalism, discretion and mutual respect
This is an environment where technical excellence is recognised and valued.
The Role
The Paraplanner will take genuine ownership of client cases from inception through to conclusion. Responsibilities include:
- Working alongside advisers from the initial fact-find stage
- Researching and designing sophisticated financial planning strategies
- Producing detailed, technically robust suitability reports
- Building and maintaining complex cashflow models
- Liaising directly with clients and their professional advisers
- Supporting implementation and ongoing review planning
Client work regularly involves:
- Business exit and liquidity event planning
- Advanced pension strategy and historic allowance planning
- Tax-efficient investment structuring
- Trust and estate planning solutions
- Intergenerational wealth considerations
The Paraplanner will be regarded as a key technical partner within the advice process, not simply a report writer.
The Person
The firm is seeking an individual who:
- Is Chartered or close to achieving Chartered Financial Planner status
- Has strong experience supporting High Net Worth or complex client cases
- Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge across tax, investments and pensions
- Communicates clearly and confidently with sophisticated clients
- Takes pride in producing high-quality, well-structured advice documentation
- Wants to operate at the top end of the profession
A Long-Term Career Move
This opportunity would suit a Paraplanner who has outgrown mid-level technical work and is ready to operate at a more advanced level within a high-calibre client base.
For the right person, this represents a platform to further develop as a senior technical professional within a firm that values expertise, judgement and professionalism.
