A well-established and forward-thinking wealth management firm based in Berkhamsted is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will work alongside Chartered Financial Planners, Investment Specialists, and Managing Directors in a role that combines technical depth with real career growth potential.
Work Type: Hybrid – 3 days in-office (Tuesday to Thursday), 2 days remote (Monday and Friday)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities
Produce high-quality suitability reports for pensions, investments, and complex financial planning cases
Draft advice letters and recommendations in line with FCA guidelines
Support annual review meetings with tailored documentation and performance reports
Conduct research using tools such as FE Analytics, CashCalc, and Defaqto
Build detailed cash flow models to support client financial goals
Respond to complex client and adviser queries with technical accuracy
Maintain and update CRM systems (e.g. X-Plan, Intelligent Office)
Collaborate with advisers and occasionally attend client meetings
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ paraplanning experience within an IFA or financial planning setting
Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII Level 4 or equivalent)
Excellent report writing and communication skills
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and time management
