Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Paraplanning function, including internal staff and external paraplanning providers.

Provide technical and research support to Financial Planners, ensuring high-quality advice delivery.

Prepare detailed cashflow models and financial reports tailored to client objectives.

Write bespoke Suitability Letters and ensure all regulatory documentation is included.

Ensure paraplanning output meets the firm’s compliance and quality standards.

Liaise with third-party providers to gather accurate financial data and conduct product research.

Assist in investment committee activities and generate client portfolio analyses.

Coordinate implementation of agreed investment strategies and track ISA usage.

Stay updated with regulatory changes and support continuous professional development across the team.
Requirements

Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent) – Level 6 qualification (Chartered status or studying towards) highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and financial planning principles.

Demonstrable experience as a senior paraplanner or technical manager in a financial planning environment.

Excellent written communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong IT proficiency, particularly in cashflow modelling and Excel.

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor others.
