My client is seeking an accomplished Senior Paraplanner to join its established Financial Planning function in Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanning professional to take ownership of complex financial planning cases, provide specialist support to financial advisers and play an influential role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of client advice.
Working alongside Financial Planners and other financial services professionals, you will be involved in developing robust financial planning solutions across a broad range of client circumstances. The position offers considerable scope to apply your technical expertise, influence recommendations and help ensure that financial strategies are both appropriate and aligned with individual client objectives.
Alongside your own caseload, you will act as a source of technical guidance for colleagues, contribute to the development of less experienced team members and help drive improvements in working practices.
My client offers a collaborative working environment, a flexible hybrid arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' professional development and overall wellbeing.

- Research and Strategy Development: Investigate and compare financial products, investment options and planning strategies, assessing their suitability against client needs and long-term objectives.

- Cashflow Modelling: Use financial planning software and cashflow projections to assess different scenarios and support informed, long-term financial decisions.
- Information and Risk Assessment: Review client fact finds, risk profiles and supporting documentation, identifying missing information, inconsistencies or areas requiring further analysis.
- Provider and Client Liaison: Work with financial product providers, clients and internal stakeholders to resolve queries, gather information and progress cases efficiently.
- New Business Processing: Prepare application paperwork and supporting documentation for new investments, policy arrangements and amendments to existing plans.
- Technical Review and Quality Control: Review complex financial planning work and reports, offering practical feedback to promote accuracy, consistency and high professional standards.
- Colleague Development: Share technical knowledge, mentor other paraplanners and help colleagues build their confidence and capability.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Establish effective working relationships with Financial Planners, offering constructive challenge and identifying opportunities to improve client recommendations.
- Process and Regulatory Improvements: Contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency and help embed changes arising from new legislation, regulation or industry developments.
