Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with Financial Planners and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of compliant, high-quality financial advice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Financial Planners by fully understanding client objectives, priorities, and circumstances
- Conducting detailed research and technical analysis, considering areas such as pensions, investments, taxation, and estate planning
- Producing clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Identifying additional planning opportunities and highlighting future considerations for clients
- Liaising with operations and compliance teams on complex, unusual, or non-standard cases
- Working collaboratively with client services to ensure accurate information is gathered and timescales are met
- Maintaining robust audit trails and ensuring all work adheres to regulatory and internal compliance requirements
- Keeping up to date with legislative, regulatory, and technical developments through ongoing CPD
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and sharing best practice across the team
- Providing technical input, guidance, or support to colleagues when required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive, professional approach. You will ideally have:
- Experience working as a Paraplanner within a regulated financial planning or wealth management environment
- A good technical understanding of pensions, investments, protection, and taxation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads effectively
- Confidence to question, challenge, and seek clarification to ensure client objectives are fully understood
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial planning systems
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and client service
