As a Senior Paraplanner, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting experienced Wealth Planners with complex client advice, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to ongoing process improvement—all within a firm that places values and client outcomes at the heart of everything it does.
Responsibilities
Client-Centric Research & Technical Support

Conduct detailed research across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning

Prepare accurate cashflow models and technical analysis to support Wealth Planner recommendations

Draft tailored, FCA-compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters

Identify future advice opportunities and flag them proactively to advisers

Support vulnerable clients with sensitivity and adapt communication accordingly
Team Leadership & Development

Mentor, coach, and provide quality oversight for less experienced Paraplanners

Share technical knowledge and support onboarding and training initiatives

Act as a point of reference for complex technical queries
Process Improvement & Regulatory Compliance

Review and refine report templates for consistency and efficiency

Contribute to process development initiatives across the Paraplanning function

Maintain up-to-date CPD and comply with FCA certification requirements

Champion best practice, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
Requirements
Technical & Professional Qualifications

Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)

Working towards Chartered status (desirable)

Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks
Experience

Proven track record in paraplanning within a holistic financial planning or IFA environment

Expertise in pensions, investments, life insurance, and tax wrappers

Experience supporting complex cases and high-net-worth clients
Systems & Tools

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Experience with cashflow planning tools (e.g., Voyant, CashCalc) – desirable

Experience with back-office systems (e.g., XPlan) – desirable
