The Role
As Senior IFA Administrator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of client services and administration. You will act as a senior point of contact within the Client Support function, supporting advisers and colleagues while helping to ensure processes, standards, and client outcomes remain consistently high.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a senior member of the Client Support / IFA Administration team
- Managing end-to-end new business processing and ongoing servicing of clients’ financial plans
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, advisers, providers, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting advisers with diary management and effective workload planning
- Ensuring all client records, documentation, and audit trails are accurate and compliant
- Liaising with compliance and operations teams on complex, unusual, or non-standard cases
- Supporting and guiding junior administrators, sharing best practice and technical knowledge
- Taking ownership of specific projects and contributing to process improvements
- Ensuring internal procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently followed
- Working closely with paraplanning and technical teams to gather accurate client information
- Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory, legislative, and industry developments
What We’re Looking For
This role would suit a confident, detail-oriented Senior IFA Administrator who enjoys responsibility and working collaboratively across teams. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in an IFA Administration or Client Support role within Financial Planning
- Strong knowledge of new business processing, ongoing servicing, and provider liaison
- A good understanding of FCA regulation and compliance processes
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence to escalate or refer complex or non-compliant matters appropriately
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The ability to work independently while supporting and influencing others
Desirable Experience
- Experience using back-office systems such as Iress XPLAN or similar
- Previous experience within a professional, compliance-led financial services environment
- Experience supporting multiple advisers or teams simultaneously
