Senior Financial Planner | Poole | Established Accountancy & Wealth Planning Group

Are you a Chartered or Diploma-qualified Financial Planner looking for a genuine career pathway, not just another advice role?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multi-office accountancy and financial planning group with a strong reputation across the South West. It invests seriously in its people, with a structured career pathway, in-house technical support, and a client bank built on long-standing relationships rather than cold leads.

You'll take on a portfolio of around 55 clients across the Poole area with access to introductions from the wider firm, advising on investable assets of £200k–£1.5m with an average case size of around £500k.

Working pattern: In the Poole office a minimum of 3 days a week initially while building introducer relationships.

The role:

  • Manage a portfolio of 55 high-value clients, mostly warm introductions from the wider firm
  • Deliver expert planning across tax, retirement, investment and estate planning
  • Achieve individual revenue, new business and net AUA targets
  • Build a pipeline through referral, networking and introducer relationships
  • Act as trusted adviser and escalation point for complex client queries
  • Work closely with Paraplanners and Client Executives on case management
  • Mentor junior planners and support the team's wider strategy and growth

What you'll need:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) — essential
  • Proven experience advising high-value clients in a regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
  • A track record on complex tax, retirement and estate planning cases
  • Strong business development instincts and introducer relationship experience
  • Confident with financial planning software (e.g. CashCalc) and CRM (e.g. Intelliflo)

What's on offer:

  • Up to £98,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus of up to 30% of salary, based on a balanced scorecard
  • A ready-made portfolio, largely warm introductions from the firm's own network
  • A structured career pathway with ongoing technical and skills training
