Company Overview

This Preston-based boutique IFA practice has built a strong reputation for providing bespoke, independent financial advice across Pensions, Investments, Protection, and Tax Planning. The team prides itself on a warm, professional culture, with a focus on client-centric service and collaborative working. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support its financial planners and play a pivotal role in client delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Writing compliant and personalised suitability reports across pensions, ISAs, investments, and protection

  • Conducting provider and fund research, using tools such as Selectapension

  • Preparing client files and documentation ahead of adviser meetings

  • Tailoring suitability letters to match individual client goals and risk profiles

  • Submitting new business applications and managing pipeline activity

  • Liaising with product providers, chasing outstanding information and fees

  • Supporting the admin team during peak periods to ensure smooth client service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Paraplanner or in financial advisory support

  • Strong knowledge of financial services products including pensions, investments, ISAs, and protection policies

  • Experience writing suitability reports (essential)

  • Ideally part-qualified or Diploma qualified in Financial Planning (e.g. CII Level 4) – or actively working towards it

  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Intelligent Office and Selectapension (advantageous)

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills

  • A collaborative, flexible approach with a willingness to support colleagues when needed

Benefits

  • Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
