You’ll be working closely with experienced Financial Planners to help deliver a holistic advice service to clients across pensions, investments, tax, protection, and estate planning.
Responsibilities
Client-Focused Research and Reporting

Conduct high-quality research into financial planning solutions including pensions, investments, protection and tax planning

Support the advice process with accurate calculations and cashflow modelling

Prepare suitability reports and client documentation tailored to individual needs and risk profiles

Draft clear, compliant reports and letters in line with FCA expectations

Identify and raise potential future advice opportunities with Financial Planners
Technical Development and Collaboration

Maintain technical knowledge through CPD and industry awareness

Contribute to improving templates and internal processes
-
Share expertise and collaborate with colleagues to enhance outcomes for clients

Ensure all activity complies with internal procedures, regulatory standards, and FCA Conduct Rules
Requirements
Essential
-
Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4 RQF or equivalent)

Proven experience in a paraplanning role within a financial planning or wealth management firm

Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Excellent report writing and numerical accuracy
Desirable
-
Progress towards Advanced Diploma / Chartered Financial Planner status

Experience with cashflow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant, CashCalc)

Familiarity with XPlan or similar CRM/financial planning systems
