We are working in partnership with a leading wealth management firm based in Glasgow, known for its strong client relationships, technical excellence, and commitment to internal career development.

Due to continued expansion, the firm is now seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support their team of advisers with complex new business recommendation reports.


Responsibilities

As a Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in supporting Financial Planners by producing high-quality, compliant advice documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing tailored and compliant suitability reports for complex financial planning cases (e.g., pensions, investments, IHT, retirement strategies).

  • Conducting technical research and analysis to support robust financial recommendations.

  • Reviewing fact-finds, risk profiles, and existing arrangements to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Ensuring all documentation meets FCA standards and internal compliance requirements.

  • Working closely with Financial Planners and administrators to ensure a seamless client journey.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Paraplanner, ideally within an IFA or Wealth Management environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in writing complex new business recommendation reports.

  • Working toward or achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in financial planning tools such as Intelliflo, FE Analytics, Microsoft Excel, and CRM platforms.
