What You’ll Be Doing
As a Paraplanner, you'll be a key part of the financial planning process, working alongside advisers to deliver tailored solutions to a broad range of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing high-quality suitability reports and investment proposals
- Conducting in-depth technical research across pensions, investments, tax, protection, and estate planning
- Utilising tools such as Intelliflo Office and Genovo to model scenarios and produce documentation
- Reviewing client fact-finds, objectives, and existing arrangements to develop appropriate strategies
- Ensuring full FCA compliance and maintaining accurate client records
- Keeping abreast of industry changes, product developments and regulatory updates
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent)
- Commitment to continued professional development – support provided for Chartered status
Experience and Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of UK pensions, investments, IHT, and personal taxation
- Experience within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning environment
- Ability to interpret financial data, perform basic tax calculations, and assess client needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using financial planning software (e.g. Intelliflo, Genovo)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
