We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, truly independent financial planning firm based in Ipswich. Known for delivering quality, bespoke advice to a select and affluent client base, the firm boasts an average client AUM of £330k and typical client assets exceeding £1.5m. With an imminent acquisition taking total AUM to £115m and client numbers to 350, this is a rare opportunity to join a growing and stable team.

You’ll be working in a close-knit environment alongside two owner-directors, an experienced Financial Planner, and a high-end Paraplanner/Business Manager – all committed to integrity, independence, and high standards.

Responsibilities

This role suits someone with financial admin experience or early-stage paraplanning exposure who wants to grow at their own pace. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting advisers with new business processing and general administration

  • Drafting initial suitability reports and preparing client documentation

  • Maintaining accurate records in line with FCA regulations

  • Liaising with clients and providers to manage workflow efficiently

  • Contributing to a collaborative team culture – stepping in where needed to keep things running smoothly

  • Opportunity to develop into full paraplanning and beyond if desired

Requirements

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, but key qualities include:

  • Experience in IFA support, financial services administration, or junior paraplanning

  • Attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Strong organisational skills and willingness to take initiative

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Intelligent Office or FE Analytics (preferred)

  • Progress towards CII qualifications (advantageous but not essential)

  • A team-oriented mindset – the firm values autonomy but thrives on mutual support
