We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, truly independent financial planning firm based in Ipswich. Known for delivering quality, bespoke advice to a select and affluent client base, the firm boasts an average client AUM of £330k and typical client assets exceeding £1.5m. With an imminent acquisition taking total AUM to £115m and client numbers to 350, this is a rare opportunity to join a growing and stable team.
You’ll be working in a close-knit environment alongside two owner-directors, an experienced Financial Planner, and a high-end Paraplanner/Business Manager – all committed to integrity, independence, and high standards.
Responsibilities
This role suits someone with financial admin experience or early-stage paraplanning exposure who wants to grow at their own pace. Responsibilities include:

Supporting advisers with new business processing and general administration

Drafting initial suitability reports and preparing client documentation

Maintaining accurate records in line with FCA regulations

Liaising with clients and providers to manage workflow efficiently

Contributing to a collaborative team culture – stepping in where needed to keep things running smoothly

Opportunity to develop into full paraplanning and beyond if desired
Requirements
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, but key qualities include:

Experience in IFA support, financial services administration, or junior paraplanning

Attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Strong organisational skills and willingness to take initiative

Familiarity with platforms such as Intelligent Office or FE Analytics (preferred)

Progress towards CII qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
