Financial Planning Manager — Help Build and Lead a UK Wealth Management Business (Equity Opportunity)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established wealth management business who are now focused on developing its UK wealth management proposition as part of its next phase of growth.

This is a rare opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Financial Planning Manager to take ownership of the UK proposition, with a clear pathway to directorship in the short term and the potential for equity participation in the near future.

The Opportunity

  • Take a leading role in developing and delivering a UK wealth management proposition built on integrity, professionalism, and long-term client care.
  • Join a small, collaborative team where your contribution will directly influence the success of the business.
  • Flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid and remote options.
  • Clear route to directorship and equity participation as the UK business grows.
  • Regular salary reviews reflecting client transitions and business growth milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, ethical, fee-based financial planning advice across investments, pensions, tax mitigation, protection, and cashflow modelling.
  • Shape and lead the delivery of the UK wealth management business in line with the firm’s values and client service standards.
  • Ensure all advice and processes comply with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, AML, and other relevant legislation.
  • Build long-term relationships with high-net-worth and mass-affluent clients.
  • Play a hands-on role at the outset, with scope to build and lead a team as the business develops.

About You

  • Minimum Level 4 qualified; ideally a Chartered Financial Planner or Certified Financial Planner.
  • Holds a current or recent Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
  • Demonstrated success delivering fee-based financial advice in a professional environment.
  • Experience promoting investment management solutions (not managing investments directly).
  • Strong technical knowledge across UK financial products: investments, pensions, protection, and tax strategies.
  • Excellent communicator with a client-first approach and high ethical standards.
  • Commercially aware, with the drive to help grow a business and progress to directorship.

This is a unique chance to help build and lead a UK wealth management business within an established, client-focused firm. Apply now for a confidential discussion.
