Own your own client portfolio at one of the UK's best firms to work for

This is a Client Manager role with a difference. Rather than sitting in a processing queue, you'll be the named internal owner of your own portfolio of high-net-worth clients — the person they call, the person who knows their situation, and the person who makes things happen behind the scenes for the Financial Planners and Investment Managers you support.

Our client is a Chartered pensions and investment firm, established for over 40 years, looking after more than £1.1bn of client assets from a single Leicestershire office. In 2026 they were named one of the best financial advice firms to work for — for the fourth time — an award based partly on anonymous employee feedback. Progression is genuinely supported, including the potential for future equity ownership for the right people over time.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as the key internal point of contact for your own portfolio of individual, corporate, trust and charity clients
  • Preparing, collating and issuing meeting packs for annual reviews, including performance analysis and recommendations prepared with the Paraplanning and Investment teams
  • Processing transfers, contributions, withdrawals and investment changes across pension and investment products, accurately and to deadline
  • Issuing meeting notes and driving action points through to completion using task management in Intelliflo
  • Liaising daily with Financial Planners, Paraplanners, in-house SIPP and SSAS teams, and third-party platforms including Pershing, Quilter and Aviva
  • Maintaining accurate client records across Intelliflo, Virtual Cabinet, Moneyinfo and provider systems
  • Communicating with clients and professional connections (accountants, solicitors) by phone, email, letter and secure portal
  • Handling client invoicing and fee processing, plus bespoke documents and calculations as needed

What you'll need

Essential:

  • Experience in a financial services administration role
  • Good technical knowledge of pensions and investments and their use in financial planning
  • Confident communication with clients, providers and professional connections
  • Strong record-keeping, time management and the judgement to work within your authority and refer when appropriate

What's on offer

  • Pension with 5% employer contribution, rising with service, with salary sacrifice available
