This is a select intake with limited places. If you’re serious about becoming a high-impact Financial Planner, this is your moment to join an award-winning, client-first IFA where you’ll gain real client exposure, structured development and a clear route to advising your own portfolio—plus long-term potential for equity participation and partnership.

The opportunity

  • Accelerate to Financial Planner in 24 months through a structured Assistant Financial Planner programme that blends professional qualifications, supported self-study and hands-on mentoring from a Senior Financial Planner/Business Owner.
  • Build credibility with high-net-worth (HNW) clients across pensions (including SIPP/SSAS), investments, protection, retirement planning and tax-efficient strategies—developing the consultative skills top advisers are known for.
  • Progress to managing your own client portfolio post-programme, subject to competence sign-off, performance and business need—earning trusted adviser status with long-standing clients.

What you’ll do

  • From day one, attend and actively contribute to client meetings alongside a Senior Financial Planner/Business Owner, supporting a well-established HNW client portfolio across the UK.
  • Deliver a high-quality, personalised client experience across financial planning areas: pensions (SIPP, SSAS, defined contribution), ISA/general investment accounts, protection, cashflow modelling and tax planning (income tax, CGT, IHT).
  • Prepare meeting documentation and review client communications for accuracy, consistency and compliance with FCA rules and Consumer Duty.
  • Collate and analyse client data (income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, goals) and assist in preparing financial plans and cashflow models (e.g., Voyant, CashCalc).
  • Support business development: nurture professional introducer relationships (solicitors, accountants), develop referral networks and help organise our annual client conference.

What you’ll bring Essential

  • Part-qualified Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII R0 exams or equivalent), with a clear plan and commitment to complete.
  • Experience in financial services, ideally within an IFA/wealth management environment serving HNW/private clients or major brands.
  • Strong client relationship skills; confident explaining technical concepts 1-to-1 in a clear, client-friendly way.

What you’ll gain

  • Bonus scheme aligned to personal development and business support during the 2-year pathway.
  • Car allowance.
  • Laptop and mobile phone.
  • Life assurance at 4x salary.
  • Pension: 5% employer contribution, increasing with service; salary sacrifice available.
  • 26 days’ holiday, increasing with continuous service.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Free parking.

Genuine long-term progression to Financial Planner, with potential for equity participation and partnership, subject to performance and business need.
